[Update 31 Jan 2023] Official images of the “Valentine’s Day” pair have surfaced, along with a 9 February release date. The pair will come out almost a full week before the 14th so that’s enough time to order a pair if you intend to wear them for the celebration, if you’re that kind of guy, if one is so inclined.

[Update 30 Dec 2022] Detailed images of the upcoming Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2 “Valentine’s Day” have landed, courtesy of @prvt.selection. Take an early look at the luxe details on this special edition pair via the gallery above, while we wait for its February 2023 release.

LineAnyone who keeps looking forward to their next vacation can be perceived as lackadaisical, but for Nike, it’s the contrary. Despite their already-packed 2023 release calendar, they’ve always stayed on top of every event and holiday. Not long after the release cycle of their Chinese New Year-themed “Year of the Rabbit” pack, they’re quickly following it up with another “Valentine’s Day” one, having the retrofitted Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2 tailor-made for the occasion.

Aphrodisiac may not be a word commonly associated with footwear but the material choices and color does make it apt. Plush red velvet form the base layer of the pair visible on the toe box, collar, and the profile Swooshes. Framing them are the Phantom tumbled leather overlays wrapped around the mudguard, quarter, and ankle flaps imprinted with a scarlet Jordan Wings logo.

Other fine details come through by way of the tongue tag with “ZOOM AIR” branding over an opaque heart graphic. But perhaps, its most distinguished feature would be the large, conspicuous “Anytime” and “Anywhere” disparate embroidery on the heel.

No firm release date has been disclosed by Beaverton HQ but considering it’s a pair commemorating Valentine’s Day, it’s safe to assume the release would fall around its imminence. The RRP for this iteration is set at US$150.

While waiting for these, get warmed up with other hot releases like the Air Jordan 1 Low WMNS “Ice Blue”.
