Arriving in early 2023, the women’s exclusive Air Jordan 1 will open the gates for the army of retro releases Jordan Brand has already assembled for next year. The AJ 1 as a silhouette is so archetypal that it has transcended its once rarified status and is experiencing a ubiquity only seen on the Air Force 1 or Dunk Low.

This general release sees the pair in a tonal blue makeup, save for a slight deviation. Where white always served as the base layer, this time it comes through on the overlays. The flip on the script see the titular “Ice Blue” as the foundation, as seen on the quarter, the entirety of the tongue, laces, and the outsole underfoot; while white claims the overlays dominating the mudguard, eyestays, through to the collar and heel counter, before settling on the midsole.

Branding elements are highlighted in a Dark Powder Blue, particularly on the Jumpman on the crown and interior, the Wings logo on the heel, as well as the lining framing the profile Swooshes.

There’s no firm release date at the time of writing. But when the powers that be says so, they’ll be available on Nike’s brick-and-click with a RRP of US$120.

While waiting for them to go live, check out the similar Nike Dunk Low “Year Of The Rabbit”.
