Step Into The BSMNT With the New Balance 2002R “Stone Grey”
Highly-coveted, exclusive and elusive.
From what begun as an online forum for street culture enthusiasts in the UK, have within a short span—become a purveyor of their own. Starting with the Dunk Low in 2017, they follow it up with three more Air Max 90s. Like the Chicago Bulls did in their heyday, The Basement is about to complete their second trifecta, with their collaboration with New Balance. The titular “Stone Grey” follows the trail of the “Moss Green” and “Earth Brown” colorways.
The neutral palette remains thematic here even in greyscale. Greys appear as the overlays around the quarter and eyestays, at the same time exposing the suede base layer in a lighter shade. Black dresses the textured mudguard and the rugged sole unit underfoot.
Standing out against the uniformity of the background are the whites, arriving over the “N” logo on the profiles, the laces, sockliner, and tongue. Branding elements appear through the gel bubble displaying “BSMNT” on the tongue aforementioned with their original logo on the heel tab.
The pair is dropping exclusively on The Basement’s online strore on 4 December, but a retail price tag is yet to be disclosed.
