Chunky soles are in style for 2022, and they are not fading into thin air any time soon. New Balance has moved into retro territory with the 9060, which has been hitting with a bang ever since its debut, with Jack Harlow featuring in the “Burgundy” colorway recently. We are now treated with two contrasting shades, “Ivory Cream” and “Truffle”.

Donned on Harlow’s feet, features pale beige mesh base with smooth leather overlays. Accents of light moonstone outlined by pale pink borders outfitted the “N” insignias on the lateral sides. Another logo variation arrives in embroidered diagonal lines in silver on the medial sides. The chunky sole defines the whole model in two different shades of pale yellow ABZORB midsoles in a dissymmetric wavy pattern, that goes hand in hand with the plastic heel guards and and light moonstone accents.

Likewise for “Truffle”, a deeper adaptation, sees a similar construction. Both pairs are the perfect epitome of juxtaposition—retro meets futurism, and style meets practicality—all year round. The Boston-based juggernaut is balancing right on the scale, living up to its name.

The New Balance 9060 in “Ivory Cream” and “Truffle” see a drop on 3 December via New Balance for US$150. Meanwhile, have a magnified look at the official images.

Elsewear in the realm of footwear, take a first look at the Nike Air Force 1 Low “All White”.
