Jack Harlow Dons Latest New Balance 9060 “Burgundy”
Jack Harlow-certified glamorous.
[Update 3 Nov] The wait is over! The New Balance 9060 “Burgundy” is set to release on 5th November via New Balance and selected retailers for a retail price of $150.
It’s a New Balance strategy to test waters of its new silhouettes through collaborative projects, and its latest 9060 model is no different. First debuting under Joe Freshgoods’ dreamy “Inside Voices” collection, the 9060 has since underwent a multitude of in-line colorway transformations that catered to the public’s tastes. This was likely a bid to acclimatise the retro-like runner to the mainstream and it seems like NB is going one step further to ensure that the 9060 look becomes a hit.
To debut its newest “Burgundy” colorway, New Balance is tapping onto Jack Harlow’s “First Class” status. The rapper-cum-producer was first enlisted as a brand partner during the NBA All-Star weekend as a means to carve out New Balance’s lifestyle presence, but little has been made of this relationship besides a F&F New Balance 550 under Harlow. However, the star has now been tasked with a lookbook appearance with the New Balance 9060, though it is noteworthy that this might not be strictly a Harlow collaboration.
Nonetheless, the shoe design itself carries never-seen-before detailing that makes it special in its own right. A new “handwritten” typography of New Balance is stitched to the heel in neon green. Living up to its name, the shoe is dominantly coated in suede burgundy browns, with some overlay panels endorsing hairy suede. Complementing these fall-ready hues are forest green accents and a strawberry pink N logo. To balance the look, a muted olive and gray combination lands on the midsole, but is further contrasted by lilac purple units.
Besides official looks and Jack Harlow donning the New Balance 9060 “Burgundy”, not much else is known about its release date. We’ll be sure to update as soon as more news land, so be sure to keep SNKRDUNK Magazine in your bookmarks.
