“Simple yet stealthy, this timeless colorway pays tribute to all of the memorable “lights out” moments of Kawhi’s career.” said New Balance in a statement.

The New Balance KAWHI 2 “Black Out” is arriving today. Comes in a black and white colorway which provides a stark contrast and color blocking to accentuate a black upper and a white mudguard. The tongues are fashioned half-in-half with black and white elements. In addition, they are adorned with KAWHI lettering towards the collars. The lace sets features white laces with New Balance branding added on the lace dubrae. The collars are also made with contrasting black outer and white inner linings. Black printed insoles come together with the pair of shoes. The heel areas of the pair are achieved with both black and white elements with New Balance lettering underneath. The look is completed with an outline of Leonard’s large hand printed on the outsole.

Focusing on the wearability of the shoes, the upper is engineered with Fit Weave Lite which is very light and translucent, providing support and breathability to the shoes. The sole units are accomplished with FuelCell foam midsoles that promise a propulsive feel and improved energy returns. The outer sole features deep ridges to assist in gripping and bouncing.

The New Balance KAWHI 2 “Black Out” will drop on 14 July for US$160 on the New Balance website as well as in other sneaker stores.
