From its attraction to the energetic nightlife and club scene to having great admiration for the style codes of classic Americana, A Bathing Ape rose to the face of the earth almost 30 years ago. Since then, the Japanese label has amassed a vast back catalog and a string of successful partnerships under its belt.

With its newest collaboration with Chicago-based visual artist and designer Louis De Guzman, the primate is on the rise with “Bowling,” a 7-piece collection themed on the illustrious sport of target shooting with one of the most successful European streetwear companies, END., before the year comes to a close.

The upper of a single pair of split Bape STAs comes in a retro color palette that is well known to individuals who frequently visit their local bowling alley. The toebox, eyestays, and tongue are in white, while the mudguard features both shades—green on the lateral side and red on the medial—and is split down the middle by both. All of the overlays on each side adhere to the mudguard’s color scheme, and the iconic BAPE star insignia is sewn on top of the leather using white threads in a secondary color. The heel tabs black logo and other branding elements are consistent with a typical Bape STA. To top it all off, dubrae is featured on the laces yield and the outsole gets a gum makeover.

iThe END. x A Bathing Ape Bape STA “Bowling” is reported to drop alongside an apparel collection on 3 December, exclusively on END. online with a retail price of US$265.
