This piece of news comes a full year ahead of its scheduled drop. By now, everyone’s well-aware of the impending onslaught of retro releases that the Jumpman’s planning for next year. Perhaps, only Jim Carrey’s Walter Sparrow can figure out if there’s any connection between ’23 and “23”. As far as anyone can tell, what’s loaded in their chamber is way past that number.

Anyhow, the Air Jordan 2 Low “Varsity Royal” joins the foray. Courtesy of Sole Retriever, we at least have a basic look at what the pair could be.

In line with the current favor for the vintage aesthetic, these AJ 2s adopt the staple white leather–sail midsole combo, with the titular color making its way through the lining framing the toe box; the insignia on the tongue; heel counter; and lastly, on the heel on the outsole where it shares duties with Black Muslin. The aforementioned colour adds definition through the collar and interior.
