LeBron James, who agreed to a lifetime contract with Nike in 2015, has an intriguing off-court story to tell. The recent drop of the Dunk Low silhouette from his favorite breakfast cereal, Fruity Pebbles, has been popping, and now we are treated with a new iteration of the classic Nike Air Max 1 in “Liverpool”.

The former prodigy is paying homage through his relationship with Fenway Sports Group, serving as a minority owner of one of which, Liverpool F.C., among others. The silhouette begins to revel in color blocking shades of dark Persian Green, White and Blood Orange nodding to the top tier English football club.

This offering is made of a combination of mesh and smooth leather on the upper, tongue, and lining. SFG (The Fenway Sports Group) and YNWA (You’ll Never Walk Alone) insignias on the heels, co-branded insoles, and unique packaging are some of the essential characteristics that embody the identity of these Air Max 1s. The exposed Air Bag and its nearby positioned sock liner are adorned with the Club’s signature Blood Orange accent, which is set against a clad-cream sole unit and speckled green tread underfoot.
