[6 Dec 2022] A release date has been confirmed for the Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma “Summit White” and “Wheat”. Dropping on 21st December, both colorways will be made available for purchase via Nike SNKRS and selected retailers for $210 a pair.

[30 Nov 2022] More news about this otherworldly collaboration have just landed onto our earthly plane via @le.syndrome. It’s seems like that this Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma is part of a wider collection that includes a line of apparel. Expect gridded jackets, matching shorts, and tees printed with a 3D modelling graphics. Though a neon, futuristic blue is utilised as the central accent color for branding elements in these pieces, the base colors all land within the “versatile neutral” category. Much simpler and subtle than its on-feet partner. 

Regardless, it’s an effective design choice. With kicks like the Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma, you’d want your surrounding pieces to be pared back, allowing the sneakers to bask in the spotlight. Release dates are still stuck at the ambiguous December-drop status, but we’ll be sure to update once more info has been made public. [21 Nov 2022] Just a few days earlier, we were given a sneak peek of a brown colorway of the Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma. Now, official images from Nike have landed, together with confirmation of a December release for both colorways.

The Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma features an entirely-new silhouette, rumored to have been designed by Virgil Abloh before his untimely death, and is equipped with Nike Air Inner Space—a never-before-seen Nike technology. According to reports, the collaborative sneaker will be unveiled during Miami Art Week 2022 (28 November to 4 December!), marking the next chapter in the partnership between Nike and Off-White.

The official images show the sneaker in the exact wild specs that earlier leaks have shown us. Trippy marbled soles with track spikes are topped off with stitched Nike Swooshes, elongated tongues and zip-ties.

The pictures also show the orange Nike shoe box with the top printed with the text “SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX” in Helvetica font, and which opens up to reveal a mash-up of Off-White and Nike’s logos. Take a first look at the sneakers via the gallery above.

[18 Nov 2022] A new brown colorway of the Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma, rumored to be designed by Virgil Abloh, has surfaced. The brown version swaps out grey suede overlays for brown ones, but Virgil’s haphazard design elements like stitched Nike Swoosh and the multi-colored midsoles remain.

In this latest batch of leaked images, we also get a closer look of the Off-White branding at the tongue—the “O” features a cut-out reminscent of Off-White’s “meteor” design commonly seen across the brand’s bags and footwear. According to Japanese sneaker site Up To Date, a 2022 or 2023 release may be in the works. Stay tuned as we continue to bring you the latest on the Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma.

Since the passing of Virgil Abloh, Nike has been releasing its archive of Off-White collaborations selectively. And with every new drop, we are once again awed by how much the creative director has crafted in the four years he had in the Swoosh’s collaborative sandbox. And it seems that while other partners were crafting sandcastles with pails and buckets, changing up designs on existing Nike models, Virgil ditched the moulds and crafted his own hulk-sized silhouette. Namely, an unprecedented Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma that has supersized all the elements we’ve come to love from the two brands.

Reportedly an original construction from the designer, images of samples leaked by @carterwang reveal that the Terra Forma is a mid-top model with stitched-on Swooshes. With a light grey suede base and leather overlays, the minimal look gives way for the extended Royal Blue rubber tongue to pop. Atop this tongue is a warped iteration of the “Off-White” wordmark. A black zipper shroud cuts across the tongue while grey rope laces rests above. Across the medial length is the model’s information in Helvetica and “TERRAFORMA” scrawled across in graffiti-like print. Per standard Off-White sneakers, a zip-tie tag finishes off the upper.

Accentuating the uniqueness of this Off-White x Nike Terra Forma is the chunky, arched Air sole unit fitted with multicolor panels. The words “Nike Air Inner Space” is stamped in this marbled look, though this branding has yet to be explained. Elevating this Air bubble are spiked rubber outsoles marked with “TREAD” and “LIGHTLY” carved on each side, prompting us to wonder what prints will remain in the snow or sand when one treads lightly in them.
