Probably the second most well-known colorway in the Jordan family—next only to the “AJ1 Chicago”—the University Blue (or UNC Blue) will be back in summer 2023 in an updated color-blocked style.
Bearing a similar name to its 2022 counterpart, this pair of Nike Air Jordan 1 High “University Blue” is actually closer in style to the AJ1 “Black Toe”. Atop a white leather upper, the titular UNC Blue is seen on overlays that wrap around the toebox, collar and heel. The toe cap and eyestay, along with the laces, are rendered in full black—a Black Toe signature.
The Nike Swoosh appears in black, adding further contrast to the blue-and-black color-blocking; while the white midsole is complemented by more UNC Blue on the outsole.
Though this is not the first time Jordan Brand is dropping an Air Jordan 1 High “University Blue”, this pair’s unique Black Toe color-blocking makes it a definite must-cop for 2023. Retailing for US$180, this AJ1 University Blue will be available on Nike SNKRS on 8 July 2023. Keep your eyes peeled for official images and more latest updates!
