Nike Air Pegasus 89 is Making a Comeback in Three Colorways
The Nike Air Pegasus 89 is showing the youngins what a true classic looks like.
Revisiting archival pieces has been the name of the game for many brands as of late, and Nike is no exception. In 2022 alone, we’ve seen the return of the Air Kukini and Air Ship. And as the year draws to a close, the Nike Air Pegasus 89 is also having its own revival with the comeback of OG colorways alongside fresh ones.
One of Nike’s longest running models, with four decades under its belt, the Nike Air Pegasus 89 is famed for its lightweight construction and supreme breathability. While runners were the first to adopt it, the silhouette eventually infiltrated the lifestyle crowd due to its comfort and timeless colorways. The OG look, a full gray that washes over the mesh and suede upper, will make a return alongside two refreshed colorways.
The first of which is a Triple Black rendition that’s as incognito as its name suggests. Full black from upper to sole, the mixed material construction is less pronounced, making this a versatile option for any wardrobe. Conversely, the second colorway makes a pointed move to have every layer pronounced, with the suede overlays colored with different shades of gray and black. The heel takes on a royal red that matches the branding on the tongue.
Though no release dates have come out of the woodwork, the Air Pegasus 89 is expected to make a swooshing comeback soon. In the meantime, check out the shoe’s details in the slider above!
