Get It Together! Packer’s Take on the Saucony Jazz ’81
Let your feet reflect that same sense of freedom in 2 different hues.
What started as an expansion of a local, three-generation family business, Packer’s, is packed with history and is about to release a partnership with Saucony on the Jazz ’81 in 2 historical-themed colorway.
The new offerings from Packer assert that the “greatest jazz originates from a mystical location,” and are dressed in a cream shade that allows the namesake “Mountain View” and “Coriander” hues to animate the decades-old design. As a result, the now-New Jersey-based streetwear boutique dresses the ’80s silhouette in ways that feel both historically inspired and contemporary.
The sneakers’ off-white midsoles give them a “old” look, while the logo is maintained classic on the top of the tongue and the sock liners. The reflective coating on the spines is still present, paying homage to the Jazz’s function-first design philosophy. Together, the aforementioned elements contribute to the creation of an arrangement that will undoubtedly serve as a touchstone in the 40-year-old model’s release history.
Packer Shoes x Saucony Jazz ’81 “Mountain View” and “Coriander” will be release on 11 November for US$110 each pair via Packer.
