Following the ACG Air Deschutz sandals and the pandemic-born Offline slides, the Nike Burrow was the brand’s answer to slip-ons for the winter, and it comes outfitted with all the necessary tech. On the outer, water-resistant nylon protects your feet while its inner portions are smothered with fluffy fleece. A zipper pouch is attached to the upper, allowing you to burrow not just your feet, but any small trinkets you need outdoors. A soft foam midsole and ribbed outsole prevents you from slipping without compromising comfort.

This special edition Nike Burrow is scheduled to make a return for the colder months, this time in the form of Nike’s iconic colors — Cacao Wow and Pilgrim. As one would expect, the Cacao Wow sees the upper dressed in chocolate brown while the inner fleece lining adopts a darker, almost-black brown. On the other end, Pilgrim washes the textured upper in its olive hue, but the inner fleece takes on a natural off-white.

Besides the colorway, what makes this release distinct from its predecessor is the appearance of the nylon upper. While previously it held a gridded design, it now sports a more wintery fabric weave. The inner fleece lining has also become bulkier in volume, lending the shoe a teddy-like look. Branding-wise, the embroidered Nike tick leaves out the wordmark this time around.

Though the Nike Burrow “Pilgrim” and “Cacao Wow” has appeared on retailer Nordstrom’s site, no official release dates from the Swoosh has been announced. It is expected to retail at JPY6,600 (~US$45). Till then, check out the top slider for closer looks!
