Head honcho of VANDYTHEPINK, Junghoon Son has been making waves in the streetwear circuit for years now through his sneaker customizations, a hobby that started way back in middle school. And so it seems he’s paid his dues, scoring his first-ever official collaboration—with Clarks, no less. The canvas they begin their endeavour on is the latter’s iconic Wallabee Cup Boot, an austere silhouette that never loses its class no matter how ostentatious some of its collaborations have been.

Vandy’s attempt at the pair respectfully retains the Wallabee’s signatures leaving it in one of its most popular getup—all-black tumbled leather. Nevertheless, he takes the classic into new territory by getting it ready for Halloween. His take features white skeletal leather overlays stitched onto the toe box of the Wallabees, succeeding in creating a careful balance between his own design and the spirit of the shoe, while coiled laces in black-and-white serve as a regalia.

The Vandy The Pink x Clarks Originals Skeleton Wallabee Cup Boot will be released on VANDYTHEPINK’s website on 6th October.
