[Update 6 Dec 2022] Prepare your wallets as it is confirmed that the Jacquemus x Nike Air Humara “Pink” will be release on the 9 December through SNKRS.

[Update 3 Nov 2022] Jacquemus has announced an official release date for their next collaborative sneaker with Nike—the Jacquemus x Nike Air Humara in Pink. The sequel to the duo’s tonal brown Air Humara sneakers has received a fair amount of attention for its bold color choice. A release date on 5 December was confirmed by the brand on their Instagram. Alongside the shoes, Jacquemus also announced the dates for a Tekla collaboration and its upcoming “Le Raphia” runway show, amongst others.

Goodbye earthy desert tones. Jacquemus is ushering a new era of the Nike Humara, this time with a bright pink palette that’s hard to tear your eyes away from. Such a color choice might be surprising to those that are more ardent fans of Nike than Jacquemus, but fans of Simon Porte Jacquemus’ spunky touch will know that bold colors are coded into the house’s DNA.

From their famed Le Chiquito bags to their runway looks, bright pinks have been a well-loved color in each of the ranges. In fact, the raw and simple Arles’ runway that featured the first two pairs of Jacquemus x Nike Air Humara was a deviation from the French label’s norm. But it seems like after having experienced a successful sold-out collaboration, Jacquemus has become more comfortable to show its true colors, quite literally.

The initial white and brown tones have been swapped out for a hot pink hue that drenches the mesh liners, shaggy suede overlays, tongue, side panels… Basically the entire shoe, save the brown gum outsole that characterises the silhouette’s trail purpose. Of course, Jacquemus influence on the branding surfaces in the form of the iconic mini gilded Swoosh, logotype on the tongue and a co-branded insole. This wash of pink is likely a nod to Jacquemus’ 10th Anniversary show “Le Coup de Soleil”, which featured a pink catwalk and the coveted oversized pink blazer.

Both Nike and Jacquemus are keeping mum on official release dates, but we expect more details to be released soon. In the meantime, take a closer look at this Jacquemus x Nike Air Humara “Pink” in the slider above.

Psst! Jacquemus is not the only collaborative partner that Nike has engaged. Supreme is also putting its own spin on the Nike Air Max TL 99.
