Or at least, that’s what @ovrnundr is claiming on Twitter. Following an update that the Marvel x BAPE STAs will be inviting new superheroes onboard, the account also shares that a “JJJJound x BAPE 2.0 collaboration on the way”. Understandably, fans of the first collaboration are shaking in their STAs in excitement.

The two brands’ first link up was out of the blue — JJJJound’s minimalist approach to streetwear seemed a far cry from BAPE’s camo ape print that dominated the hip hop scene. Yet their coming together produced a harmonious, Gray/White calf-leather BAPE STA that reduced the silhouette to its most essential attributes.

While usual BAPE branding found themselves in gray on the tongue, JJJJound is prominently stitched on to the heels. Everywhere else, the shoe is kept clean and simple. It is only on the shoebox that the BAPE camo appears, but even then it is done in the same muted Gray/White palette.

Unfortunately, all we have is @ovrnundr’s word on this JJJJound x BAPE sequel, but we have high hopes that more news will sprout soon. In the meantime, why not check out Drake’s crocodile leather overhaul of the BAPE STA, which also comes in a pristine white?
