adidas YEEZY Boost 350 “Pirate Black” Returning to Retail Shores this Spring 2023
Ahoy! The iconic adidas Yeezy Boost 350 Pirate Black is braving the stormy relations of adidas and Ye for a 2023 comeback.
[Update 24 May 2023] Hold onto your boats, the adidas YEEZY Boost 350 “Pirate Black” is making its return. Slated for 31 May, hop on the adidas CONFIRMED App for a chance to purchase one of the most desired YEEZYs ever. Check out official images of the sneaker via the top slider above in the meantime.
[Update 12 May 2023] Shortly after adidas announced its plans to sell their remaining YEEZY inventory, rumors of the YEEZY Boost 350 “Pirate Black” releasing this month began to swirl. It was previously expected to drop in the Spring/Summer 23 season, which falls in line with what was reported today. Stay tuned as we’ll bring you the latest as soon as we can.
It’s been six years (yes, 2016 was that long ago) since the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 “Pirate Black” colorway was restocked and seven years since its first launch in 2015. When the OG colorways of the Yeezy Boost first dropped, they were highly desired and sold out almost instantly. Undoubtedly, the two most popular colorways were “Turtle Dove” and “Pirate Black”. And with Turtle Dove returning during Yeezy Day 2022 (to the chagrin of a certain rapper), it is no surprise that the Yeezy Boost 350 in Pirate Black is also making a return — albeit in 2023.
This upcoming restock revealed by @sneakerknockerzllc showcases that this drop will largely remain the same as the 2016 restock with a thinner primeknit upper than the 350 V2 and updated padding on the heel. The stealthy Pirate Black colorway is a two-tone black and gray that “streaks” the upper. Weaving through the upper are “tumbled” black/gray rope laces while branding appears as a black suede patch on the medial length.
This adidas Yeezy Boost 350 “Pirate Black” will likely return in the Spring/Summer season of 2023 on adidas CONFIRMED and Yeezy Supply. However, with prices rising, there is high possibility that there will be a hike in retail price, bumping up its original US$200 price tag. To be updated on this restock, keep our SNKRDUNK Magazine in your bookmarks.
