The Pigeon Has Landed on the STAPLE x DEAL x Reebok Instapump Fury OG “VECTR”
The Staple Pigeon leaves its mark on the Instapump Fury OG — and it's not in a shitty way.
To the au courant, Jeff Staple needs no introduction: a living legend partly responsible for bringing sneaker culture into mainstream attention. In 2005, he collaborated with Nike on a Dunk Low SB that introduced us to the Staple Pigeon, an insignia in the world of sneakers that can fly next to the Jumpman. The commemorative pair — an exclusive 200, an exclusive to New York City — so exclusive was it that riots started in the stores where it was sold. Ultimately giving it mythic status, an entry into the pantheon of sneaker holy grails.
Today, the pigeon lands on the Reebok Instapump Fury OG with the help of DEAL China. Dressed in its staple — Staple Pigeon colors of gray, white, black, and pink — the collaborative piece features gray hairy suede on the toe cap and heel with the Reebok vector logo embroidered on the middle of the mesh upper, and another traversing along the surrounding white overlay. The silhouette of the famed pigeon is perched on the signature pump which serves as the centerpiece, and the final accoutrement being the Pigeon on the heel counter.
The STAPLE x DEAL x Reebok Instapump Fury OG “VECTR” is available on Friday, July 29th, 11am (ET), on staplepigeon.com or DEAL China. Get your hands on these before the pigeon… flies away.
