CAU's Panthers have joined the pack. Like other historically black colleges and universities (HBCU), their athletes also get their own colors of the Nike Dunk Lows.

[Update 29 Sep] Official images are released and the collaboration is expected to drop in the coming months via Nike and selected retailers.

[Update 7 Sep] Images of the pair were first leaked sometime in July, but while we have no official images yet, new ones have surfaced showing us a more detailed as well as an on-feet look.

The original set of photos depict the laces with the university’s motto embellished on it while the latest ones don’t. Regardless, much of the design decisions stay the same. The Panthers’ logo takes Nike’s place on the tongue tag with it also visible through the crystal rubber outsole beneath. The founding year is embroidered on the heel tab with the silhouette dressed in the team’s colors, the combination alternating between the modules of the pair.

No official images have been shared by any party nor a release date, but expect an update from us once word gets to us.

As part of the HBCU Dunk Low pack that includes Florida A&M and North Carolina A&T, CAU also gets its own pair in partnership with Nike.

Much like the others, their version is also dressed in the team’s signature colors of black, red and grey. Interestingly however, at a quick glance, it’d be easy to miss that they actually alternate between the pair. The laces are embellished with the school’s motto – “Find a Way or Make One”; while their Panthers logo sits on the tongue, and on the underside of the translucent outsole. “1988” is embroidered on the heel tab, an allusion to the year Clark College and Atlanta University merged.

There’s no official announcement yet about the pair’s release date but we’ll update the page as soon as we get word. Until then, get a peek at another pair in the pack: the Nike Dunk Low “Florida A&M”.
