When Desiigner rapped Panda back in 2016, no one knew it was possibly prophetic of the explosive popularity of the Panda “White/Black” colorway sported by Nike’s silhouettes. With 2022 marking the 25th Anniversary of the Air Max 97, this popular shoe is donning a similar look similar to the crowd favourite “White/Black” colorway fondly termed “Panda”.
Unlike its Dunk Low predecessors and Wmns Air Max 97 that stuck to the black/white contrast, this Air Max 97 plays with the monochromatic spectrum by including silvers. A trademark for the silhouette, reflective silver streaks circle the upper and tongues. Mesh mid panels run between these 3M silvered lines. Black runs through the laces, lining, midguard and remaining areas of the upper. White dominates the small Swoosh and midsoles.
