Endorsements usually elevate a pair regardless of design, and the titular silhouette has one from indisputable royalty: Kobe Bryant and Beyoncé. Back in the early-naughties, before Kobe signed off on the Check, he earned his Three Stripes in the Top Ten 2000.

Now in 2023, it’s taken on by Queen B as part of her follow up to last year’s “IVYTOPIA” collection with adidas. The silhouette jumps from its sports pedigree into the realm of fashion and lifestyle, going through a metamorphosis along the way.

It doesn’t surrender its Y2K tech-driven toolings but is instead given a contemporary retrofitting. It arrives in fashion-forward palette that’s ready to make a statement much like Bey herself. An eye-catching tonal orange form the entirety of the sole unit, its asymmetrical design reminiscent of its era of origin.

Up top, “Magic Beige” takes the spotlight traversing across the multi-material mix of leather and suede. “Cream White” accents the pair on the frames of the eyestays as it supports the two-toned patterned laces adjacent. IVY PARK branding is affixed onto the tongue and heel tab, before finally landing on the footbed, disparate to the adidas Trefoil imprinted on the other pair.
