Puma hops on to the Lunar New Year festivities with a Lunar New Year release of their own. Working on NBA rising star LaMelo Ball’s signature series, the Puma Hoops MB.02, the German-based shoemakers are bringing an exotic “Jade” colorway to the basketball shoes.

As its name suggests, almost the entirety of the shoe is dressed in a tonal teal hue, visually a direct reference to the titular gemstone. The upper’s overlays, heel and midsoles are also brushed over with the jade’s stone finish, referencing the gemstone further.

Accentuating its design are hints of gold, peppered across the branding on the tongue and heel tabs, visually exuding the nobility and wealth symbolisms of the jade stone. Rounding off the collaboration is a specially designed box, which is similarly dressed in jade with gilded hints.
