eYe Junya Watanabe MAN x New Balance 574 Announces Triple Colorway Collection
Basic but exquisite.
Japanese designer Junya Watanabe has been going strong with numerous collaboration with big names such as The North Face and Tokyo Design Studio New Balance. Known for his avant garde aesthetics and working under Comme des Garçons founder, Rei Kawakubo, the designer is back for another collaboration with sports label New Balance under his second line “eYe Junya Watanabe MAN”.
Announcing the eYe Junya Watanabe x New Balance 574 collection, the pack introduces the classic silhouette in a triple colorway release. Though basic, the collection shows Watanabe’s sophisticated approach with the use of suede and nubuck on the uppers which adds a premium touch to the casual off road sneaker. Equipped with ENCAP technology on the midsoles, the pair offers better comfort and stability for the long walks to come. Marking the identity of the collaboration, the ‘eYe’ logo is embossed on the back of the sneaker.
If you are worried about getting these in the rain, don’t worry. With added water-resistant coating, you can ensure that your sneaker will stay fresh and clean regardless of the weather. Finished in a grey, beige and khaki colorway, the collection shows a mature color palette that is also perfect for the Fall season.
Retailing for 33,000JPY (~US$220) a pair, the eYe Junya Watanabe MAN x New Balance 574 collection is set to release on 21st October via selected retailers.
