White and Blue Palette Goes Into Teddy Santis’ New Balance 990 Collection
Part of the upcoming MADE in USA Collection.
Whether it’s running Aimé Leon Dore as its founder and head honcho, or as the creative director of New Balance’s MADE in USA division, Teddy Santis is proving he has the Midas touch. Anything he takes on seems to turn into gold. Becoming a tastemaker in the same ranks as his predecessors, his aesthetic choices become trends, and classic models under his purview experience a revival.
Subsumed into the upcoming second season of the MADE in USA collection, the New Balance 990 v2 and v3 gets tacked on with a white and blue color palette, while still maintaining the signature vintage aesthetic that Teddy Santis is synonymous with.
Both pairs are anchored by a white mesh base with overlays of suede and leather that’s mixed in with off-white, black, and blue in select parts. Tonal greys occupy the fore and rear of the v2 and v3 before all the colors uniformly come together on the ABZORB sole unit. Rounding them out are the MADE in USA insignias embedded onto the tongue and heel.
Both pairs are expected to be released on the same day on 23rd November at 10 a.m. (ET). They’ll be made available at New Balance’s web store with the pair ranging from US$195 to US$200.
