Starting from 1 August 2025 until a date yet to be mentioned, participants of Pokémon Card Gym tournaments in Japan will receive either two or three of seven promotional cards. Of these promotional cards, two are completely new; the remainder are reprints of previously existing cards.

The two new cards are Lapras ex and Digging Shovel. The reprinted cards are Chikorita from Mega Symphonia [M1S], Makuhita and Lillie’s Determination—both from Mega Brave [M1L], Munkidori from Mask of Change [SV6], and Counter Gain from Paradise Dragona [SV7a]. All seven cards have the Pokémon Card Gym on either their left or right side.

Every participant of a Pokémon Card Gym tournament will receive a 2-card pack containing two of the aforementioned cards. Tournament winners will receive an additional card from that same list.

These packs are known as “Pokémon Card Gym Promo Card Pack 1” because, with the beginning of the Mega era of the Pokémon TCG, the Pokémon Card Gym pack numbers were reset.
