The card has also received additional publicity as it’s featured as one of the set’s cover cards and as mentioned, is part of one of the most well-known and iconic Yu-Gi-Oh TCG card archetypes.

A signature move counterpart of Magician of Black Chaos, this card has a Contact Fusion Summoning requirement which alludes to the Yu-Gi-Oh manga. In the manga, Yugi turns his Dark Magician card into Magician of Black Chaos by Ritual Summoning via Dark Magic Ritual. This manga reference is likely to impress those who closely follow the manga.
