[Yu-Gi-Oh TCG] Wandering Gryphon Rider (Deck-Build Pack: Grand Creators DBGC-JP028) [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
This probably should've been unbanned quite some time ago—but if nothing else, "better late than never".

One of the two cards which had previously been banned from Yu-Gi-Oh TCG tournament play in Japan and Asia-Pacific before being unbanned starting from 1 July 2025 is Wandering Gryphon Rider. Having previously been blacklisted for almost three years, Konami has now deemed it suitable to be brought back.
About Wandering Gryphon Rider (Deck-Build Pack: Grand Creators DBGC-JP028)
Wandering Gryphon Rider was banned back in October 2022 because of the sheer dominance of the Adventurer archetype and how the card’s effects facilitated the optimal function of cards of that archetype. However, today this isn’t anywhere near as much of a problem because of how the Yu-Gi-Oh metagame has changed; the meta is now far less friendly to Adventurer cards than it was back then.
This card comes in the rarity of Super Rare. It’s one of the cover cards of Deck-Build Pack: Grand Creators; as such, it’s received more publicity than most other cards of its set. Wandering Gryphon Rider also has canonical ties to other cards in the set; specifically, Fateful Adventure and Thunder Discharge.
