The recent resurgence of the Red Zoro deck in ONE PIECE Card Game tournament play has caused a greater spotlight to fall on probably its most important card: the Tony Tony Chopper Character card from Two Legends [OP-08]. This card can be said to be the lynchpin of the deck’s entire strategy.

About Tony Tony Chopper (Two Legends [OP-08] OP08-007)

By playing this card, the player can set up opportunities to simultaneously develop multiple Character cards. When it’s played, the player gets to look through the top five cards of the deck, then play a rested Animal Character card with a Power of 4000 or less before placing the remaining four cards at the bottom of the deck in any order. This effect pairs well with the effect of the deck’s Leader card from Romance Dawn [OP-01] because the Roronoa Zoro card which is the Leader card of this deck adds 1000 Power to all of the player’s Character cards in play.

The version of this card that will most appeal to collectors is the Super Rare Parallel (SR-P) iteration of the card. In addition to the fact that it features a Parallel Art illustration, Chopper is among the biggest fan favorites among the One Piece fandom in general; as such, the fact that Chopper is shown on a Parallel Art card would likely draw much interest.
