The Blue Doflamingo deck has been at the peak of the ONE PIECE Card Game metagame for several months. As such, players using a slew of other decks have been trying to come up with ways to take down the current king of the meta. In the case of the Black Lucci deck, the inclusion of the Kaku card from Pillars of Strength [OP-03] is one possible solution.

About Kaku (Pillars of Strength [OP-03] OP03-080)

When used in the Black Lucci deck, this card’s effect is to be combined with the cost-removing effect of its Leader card from 500 Years in the Future [OP-07]. In this way, Kaku can be used to KO an opposing Character card with a cost of 4 or more. This card makes for a suitable counter against the Blue Doflamingo deck because of its own cost of 5. As such, the Blue Doflamingo deck’s Trafalgar Law card, originally from the Blue Donquixote Doflamingo Starter Deck [ST-17], can’t send Kaku back to the player’s hand.

Of the two versions of this card, the one which collectors are more likely to seek is the Super Rare Parallel (SR-P) version. That card has a Parallel Art illustration which depicts CP0’s masked agent in combat, showcasing his Four Sword Style—actually a misnomer because Kaku only owns two katana; he combines them with his Rankyaku technique to make it appears as though he’s wielding four blades.
