Part of the upcoming ONE PIECE Card Game set A Fist of Divine Speed [OP-11] will be based on the Fish-Man Island Saga of the One Piece manga. Likely as a “preview” of what might be to come as part of that set, a Leader card depicting Hody Jones, the primary antagonist of the Fish-Man Island Saga, has just received an all-new Parallel Art version.

About Hody Jones (Wings of the Captain [OP-06] OP06-020)

The illustration of this L-SPC card depicts the captain of the New Fish-Man Pirates with a menacing look, primed to launch an attack. Hody’s immense strength—the result of his Energy Steroids—is clearly seen as the angle of the image focuses on the fish-man’s immense muscles generated in that way. The image shown is before his overdose after which Hody’s physical form was altered to become one with white hair and even larger muscles.

Since the next ONE PIECE Card Game set to be released will partially be centered around the Fish-Man Island Saga, there’s a high chance that a Hody Jones card will be one of the featured cards of A Fist of Divine Speed [OP-11]. For this reason, it’s very possible that this card was reprinted as a way to build hype for that set.
