If the King stays healthy, he will eventually surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, for another jewel on his crown—the record for most points ever scored will be his for the taking.

The XX first debuted in the recent Drew League in an all-pink colorway and another in a black-red. This third coming arrives in a muted Laker color palette of purple mesh and golden accents on the piping proximate to the laces, collar, and tongue, before dripping entirely on the layered Swooshes on the lateral.

Paisley patterns appear at the fore of the midsole with a solid blocking on the rear. Haring-esque detailing makes up the entirety of the outsole, finished off with an imprint of young LBJ’s hallmark reach-back dunk at the heel.

The “Violet Frost” was mistakenly released on Finish Line ahead of schedule but has since been taken down. For now, it’s scheduled for a 15th October drop on Nike.com and select retailers, just in time for the upcoming NBA season.
