Starting from December 2024, Play! Pokémon, the division of The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) which oversees all Pokémon tournaments including TCG, Video Game Championship (VGC), and Pokémon UNITE tournaments, will begin holding Friendly Tournaments. Friendly Tournaments will be casual Pokémon TCG tournaments intended to give everyday casual players who would otherwise not have any intention of tournament play an experience of the Pokémon TCG tournament scene.

About the December 2024 Friendly Tournament Prize Cards

There will be three cards to be handed out as prizes at Friendly Tournaments in December 2024. All three cards will be reverse holofoil reprints of existing cards and have the Play! Pokémon logo in the background of their respective lower portions. All three cards will be in English.

The cards in question will be reverse holofoil versions of Pidgey from 151 [MEW], Rescue Board from Temporal Forces [TEF], and Festival Grounds from Twilight Masquerade [TWM].

The prices of these cards will only be known once the first copies make it to the open market.
