[Yu-Gi-Oh TCG] Nekroz of Trishula (Terminal World 2 TW02-JP083) [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
The cover card of Booster SP: Tribe Force makes a new appearance in Quarter Century Secret Rare—and this time with alternate artwork as well.
The Nekroz of Trishula card has recently received Quarter Century Secret Rare reprints in both English and Japanese. The English version came in Quarter Century Secret Bonanza, a set that only included reprints of previously-existing Yu-Gi-Oh TCG cards. Shortly after, a Japanese Quarter Century Secret Rare version arrived as part of Terminal World 2.
About Nekroz of Trishula (Terminal World 2 TW02-JP083)
The main draw surrounding this card is undoubtedly its rarity of Quarter Century Secret Rare. Nekroz of Trishula is just one of 12 Terminal World 2 cards which comes in this rarity honoring the 25th anniversary of the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG. It’s also a card which holds a certain pioneering status within the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG as when the first version of this card dropped back in 2014 as the cover card of Booster SP: Tribe Force, it was then the first-ever Level 9 Ritual Monster card.
The card also features alternate artwork in its Quarter Century Secret Rare version. In the usual illustration, the card depicts an older version of Shurit, the Strategist of the Nekroz wearing the armor of Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier. However, in this alternate-artwork version, Shurit is instead shown wearing the armor of Trishula, Zero Dragon of the Ice Barrier—a detail which serious Yu-Gi-Oh fans will pick up on and likely be impressed by.
