[Yu-Gi-Oh TCG] Fabled Lurrie (Terminal World 2 TW02-JP006) [Release Date/Price/Where To Buy]
The Quarter Century Secret Rare version features alternate artwork that connects it to the in-universe lore.
Some of the Quarter Century Secret Rare cards from recently-released Yu-Gi-Oh TCG set Terminal World 2 only appear in that rarity on cards featuring alternate artwork. There are four such cards in the set; one for each of the four Duel Terminal archetypes represented in it. The alternate-art Quarter Century Secret Rare card of the Fabled archetype is one of the Fabled Lurrie card.
About Fabled Lurrie (Terminal World 2 TW02-JP006)
The Japanese Quarter Century Secret Rare version of Fabled Lurrie was actually released after its English version; there was a Quarter Century Secret Rare Fabled Lurrie card in the international-only reprint set Quarter Century Secret Bonanza. That, however, does nothing to reduce this card’s value due to its immense rarity as well as the alternate artwork which is featured on it.
The card’s alternate artwork contains multiple references to Yu-Gi-Oh lore. Fabled Lurrie is shown holding the mask of Fabledswarm Leverzebul while being accompanied by the servants of the Fableds. Like all Fabled cards, Fabled Lurrie is based on the archetype introduced via the short-lived Duel Terminal arcade game; while unpopular enough that it was quickly discontinued, the very few who got into Yu-Gi-Oh via Duel Terminal will nevertheless take additional interest in this card for that reason.
