Pokémon TCG Ceruledge ex

When Stellar Tera Type Starter Set Ceruledge ex [SVLS] was released in August 2024, it was somewhat surprising that its titular card didn’t end up being the set’s biggest pickup. However, though it might not have risen to the heights that many collectors might have hoped for, Ceruledge ex has begun to find a place for itself within the Pokémon TCG metagame.

About Ceruledge ex (Stellar Tera Type Starter Set Ceruledge ex [SVLS] 006/022)

Although Raging Amethyst appears to be the more notable of Ceruledge ex’s two attacks with a damage output of 280 for three Energy cards, the real standout is Abyssal Flames. For just one Fire Energy card, the Fire Blades Pokémon is able to dish out massive amounts of damage as long as the player has filled the discard pile with many Energy cards—something that can easily be done with the Ceruledge ex deck. Additionally, only sticking to Abyssal Flames makes this card even more efficient by not requiring any Psychic or Steel Energy cards.

This card has a rarity of Double Rare (RR) and depicts Ceruledge ex after it has Terastallized into the Stellar type. Although it might not be the rarest card in its eponymous Starter Set, it’s nonetheless a relatively solid pickup for any collection. It’s also worth noting that its English version comes in the Surging Sparks [SSP] set—a set which has been expected to rapidly increase in value soon.
