About The Glory of Team Rocket [SV10]
The headliner card of The Glory of Team Rocket will be a Rocket’s Mewtwo ex card. As is implied by the set’s name, many of the cards in it will be Pokémon belonging to Team Rocket; this will be shown via the prefix “Rocket’s” before each Pokémon’s name.
Rocket’s Pokémon cards will be making a return to the Pokémon TCG after 20 years. The last time such a card was released was in 2005, way back in the Pokémon TCG’s third generation. The card in question was a promotional Rocket’s Persian ex card from the PCG-P Promotional cards which was distributed as a participation prize for those who took part in Battle Road Spring 2005: One Day Battle tournaments.
Just to give an idea of how much hype there is for this set, a post on the PokeInvesting subreddit revealed that many third-party sellers in Japan are already selling 12-box cases of The Glory of Team Rocket booster boxes for a price of 300,000 JPY (~US$1,966)—a price well above market price; however, there have already been many recorded instances of people buying these cases purely because they want to be absolutely certain to get their hands on large quantities of cards from this set.
