A deck which has recently seen its ONE PIECE Card Game metagame standing ascend rapidly is the Blue Doflamingo deck; this includes the conventional build as well as a few of its variants. One of the newer deck variants includes the Borsalino card from Awakening of the New Era [OP-05] for its disruptive capabilities.

About Borsalino (Awakening of the New Era [OP-05] OP05-051)

When played, Borsalino enables the player to place an opposing Character card with a cost of 4 or less at the bottom of the opponent’s deck. It’s an effect which can often have a highly disruptive effect on the opponent’s setup and is especially potent when used in combination with Wings of the Captain [OP-06] cards Gravity Blade Raging Tiger and Gion—two cards with similar effects. All three cards are able to force the opponent to put important cards at the bottom of the deck, neutralizing whatever threat the cards would’ve posed had they been played.

This card features an alternate-art illustration; this factor elevates the card’s value. In addition, this version of the Borsalino card comes in the rarity of Super Rare Special (SR-SPC); it’s the rarest of this card’s three versions. Finally, Borsalino has been somewhat heavily featured in recent One Piece manga chapters, giving him an increased prominence among the fanbase.
