The Presto is arguably one of Nike’s most well-balanced offerings. The embodiment of good aesthetic design and functionality, which explains a lot about its popularity in the contemporary age considering it was released more than two decades ago. Its forward-thinking design DNA from Y2K still holds, it still looks like it was designed for the future, even when the future has arrived.

With the curtain call on the summer approaching, it’s time to get ready for the seasonal change. Look no further than the Swoosh’s popular running shoes turned de facto utility gear. Over the course of the year, we’ve seen a slew of new colorway inspirations and collaborations (like the most-surprising Hello Kitty collection). For a pair that’s traversed almost the entirety of the color spectrum like the Spider-Verse, this “Anthracite” dressing is—all things considered—toned down.

Black dominates most of the upper’s construction from the synthetic fabric base all the way to the mesh collar. The Presto’s métier, the TPU wing cage in “Summit White”, introduces a contrast that permeates below onto the midsole; where the principle is reiterated with the presence of “University Blue” on various branding elements on the tongue and heel. “Particle Grey” completes the color quartet on the rear midsole, ankle zipper, and as a sheen on the mudguard.

A release date should arrive before Ned Stark can say, “Brace yourselves, winter is coming.”

If you’re starting to feel festive though, check out the Swoosh’s Air Jordan 1 Mid “Christmas”. It might just go well with your ugly Christmas sweater this year.
