Throughout the entirety of the One Piece manga, Buggy has essentially been a “meme character” who somehow ends up finding himself in positions of power and prestige again and again. This was further proven when following the conclusion of the Wano Country Arc, Buggy was named one of the Four Emperors—the ultra-powerful pirates who are the focus of newly-released ONE PIECE Card Game set Emperors in the New World [OP-09].

As is the case with each of the rest of the Four Emperors, Buggy is depicted on a Manga Rare card in this set. This Rare Super Parallel (R-SP) card, like all other Manga Rares, will rank among the most coveted cards of its set. In addition, this is the first time that a Buggy card has been released as a Manga Rare, adding the novelty factor to this card’s appeal.

Completionists who are willing to spend a great deal of money will also be seeking this card in order to complete the set of Manga Rares from Emperors in the New World [OP-09] which depict the Four Emperors. In addition, Buggy’s status as the One Piece’s manga’s Lethal Joke Character as well as his increasing plot relevance has made him the center of several fan theories, thus increasing demand for this card.

Release Details

This card’s English version will be out in December 2024 with the rest of Emperors in the New World [OP-09].
