As a tie-in with the opening of the Pokémon Center in Kanazawa in November 2020, Creatures Inc. released the Pokémon Center Kanazawa Open Commemoration Special Box. This box contained three promotional Pokémon TCG cards: one of these three was this Sobble card.

About Sobble (S-P Promotional Cards)

This promotional Sobble card is a mirror holofoil reprint of a card originally released as part of eighth-generation set Sword [S1W]. The Pokémon Center Kanazawa Open Commemoration Special Box in which it first came was sold at Pokémon Centers as well as the Pokémon Center website and stores from the Kanazawa Pokémon Center’s opening day for a period of several months.

This card’s exclusivity has led to the elevation of its value, as has its mirror holofoil finish. Additionally, Sobble is the Water-type starter Pokémon of Gen 8 main-series video games Pokémon Sword and Shield. Starter Pokémon and their final evolution have historically been and continue to rank among the most popular of all Pokémon.

Release Details

While this card has had several English versions in its other iterations, this specific version of the card is only available in Japanese.

The price of a Sobble (S-P Promotional Cards 146/S-P) card is 7,000 JPY (~US$48).
