Outdoor enthusiasts would be familiar with Gramicci, a Yosemite-born label that has now found a home in the streets of Tokyo. Since its inception by Mike Graham (whose nickname was Gramicci!), the brand has always focussed on making functional fits that withstand the great outdoors. But beyond the wilderness, Gramicci is also embraced by the streetwear scene for redefining hiking gear and its functional-but-dull reputation.

Through its own releases and collaborations with the likes of Stüssy and Brain Dead, the brand proves that durable clothing has the potential to be cool and chic too. Korean label thisisneverthat is now joining Gramicci in furthering this invigoration of outdoor gear through a collaborative capsule.

Reimagining the a series of heritage-inspired pieces, the collection sees a fusion of thisisneverthat’s minimalist approach to streetwear and Gramicci’s functional technology. The result is a line of graphic tees that feature Yosemite prints, a co-branded beanie, a handy pouch bag and cargo pants for good measure. Leading this capsule is a fleece vest with Gramicci’s Running Man and tribal prints. With Gorp core reentering fashion trends, these pieces are an effortless ingress into the aesthetic.

The collection is now available on thisisneverthat’s web shop. The vest is priced at USD$140, pants at USD$120, tees at USD$70, bag at USD$60 and last but not least, the beanie priced at USD$45.

On a look out for other outdoorsy collaboration? Why not take a peek at this Reebok x Jurassic World collection that’s sure to bring you to a different (prehistoric) age.
