ONE PIECE Card Game Trafalgar Law

Mention “Trafalgar Law” with the serial number “ST10-010” to any serious ONE PIECE Card Game enthusiast and the chances are high that those who make the connection will associate the character and number with the Parallel Art card awarded as a prize at several major tournaments. Unsurprisingly, due to its scarcity and prestige, copies of that card sell for thousands of dollars. Although this latest reprint of a card originally from The Three Captains [ST-10] might not have value anywhere near that level, it does have its own appeal.

The card depicts the “Surgeon of Death” unleashing his Counter Shock attack. Powered by his Devil Fruit, the Op-Op Fruit, Law is shown about to land this highly destructive electrical attack. While not explicitly stated, the image on this Super Rare Parallel (SR-P) card is likely a rendering of a scene from Law’s fight against Trebol of the Donquixote Pirates during the Dressrosa Arc.

Law’s abdominal heart tattoo including the logo of his Heart Pirates is also visible. This is not only his most well-known feature; it also alludes to his backstory and his ties to Donquixote Rosinante who was his mentor during his childhood.

Interestingly enough, another reason why some might be taken by this card could be entirely accidental. As of right now, the Red/Purple Law deck centered around a different Trafalgar Law card from The Three Captains [ST-10] is far and away the most dominant deck in the metagame—so much so that there’s speculation that its Leader card might be banned, causing many to hurriedly seek it out in case it does get the banhammer. Some who might have confused this card with the other one might inadvertently end up looking for this card instead, thus driving up its demand and value.

Although this card has already been released in English, the same can’t be said of the version of the card with this specific illustration.

The sale price of a Trafalgar Law (The Three Captains [ST-10] ST10-010) card is 3,700 JPY (~US$24).
