[Pokémon TCG] Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon ex Heats Things Up (Mask of Change [SV6] 126/101)
As the Pokémon around which the newly-released Pokémon TCG set Mask of Change [SV6] is themed, Ogerpon makes appearances in all four of its masked forms—and not surprisingly, all four rank among the set’s most coveted cards. Among these is the Special Art Rare (SAR) version of the Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon ex card.
Just as is the case with the set’s other Ogerpon ex cards, Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon ex is depicted in its Terastallized form in which it becomes a pure Fire-type, shedding the Grass portion of its usual Grass/Fire dual typing. The edges of the Hearthflame Mask have been placed at an angle that makes it appear as though the mask itself is on fire, adding to the visual effect.
As the set’s rarest version of one of its signature Pokémon’s forms, this card is one which will inherently generate some degree of buzz. Additionally, the Fire type is the most popular of the “elemental” types—and this adds to the hype behind this card.
There will be an English version of Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon ex in the Twilight Masquerade [TWM] set. It won’t, however, be a translated version of this specific card.
A Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon ex (Mask of Change [SV6] 127/101) card of SAR rarity has a price of 3,000 JPY (~US$19).
