[ONE PIECE Card Game] Prize Cards for Upcoming Tournaments Revealed
These Parallel Art cards will be awarded at the close of the Championship 2024 Wave 1 3on3 Spring, Championship 2024 Wave 1 Regional Preliminaries, ONE PIECE Card Game GW Special, and ONE PIECE Card Game Grand Asia Open 2024.
The selection of cards which will be awarded as prizes in several upcoming ONE PIECE Card Game tournaments across Japan and the Asia-Pacific region have now been revealed.
At the Championship 2024 Wave 1 3on3 Spring tournament, to be held in Tokyo on 12 May 2024, copies of a Parallel Art Charlotte Pudding card from the Pillars of Strength [OP-03] set will be distributed to top-16 finishers. Those finishing in the top 8 will also receive a copy of a Parallel Art Charlotte Katakuri card from the same set.
Those same two cards will be awarded to top finishers in the Championship 2024 Wave 1 Regional Preliminaries—both for the 1on1 and 3on3 tournaments.
Top-8 finishers in Singapore and Malaysia (top 4 for 3on3) and top-4 finishers in Indonesia and the Philippines (top 2 for 3on3) will receive the Parallel Art Charlotte Pudding. Top-4 finishers in Singapore and Malaysia (top 2 for 3on3) and top-2 finishers (tournament champions for 3on3) in Indonesia and the Philippines will be awarded the Parallel Art Charlotte Katakuri as well.
Three GW Special tournaments are slated to be held in three Japanese cities—Nagoya on 28 April, Kyoto on 3 May, and Tokyo on 6 May.
Those who go far in the tournament will receive a Parallel Art Cavendish card from the Extra Booster Memorial Collection [EB-01]; the exact point at which players can win this card hasn’t yet been finalized. Tournament winners will be awarded a Parallel Art Vinsmoke Reiju card from Wings of the Captain [OP-06].
Finally, the Grand Asia Open 2024, to be held across seven Asia-Pacific countries, will distribute a Parallel Art Koby card from Paramount War [OP-02] to top-64 finishers (top 32 in Indonesia and the Philippines), the aforementioned Parallel Art Cavendish to top-32 finishers (top 16 in Indonesia and the Philippines), the Parallel Art Vinsmoke Reiju to top-16 finishers (top 8 in Indonesia and the Philippines), and a Parallel Art Shanks card from Romance Dawn [OP-01] that comes with a serial number to top-8 finishers (top 4 in Indonesia and the Philippines).
Tournament champions will also be awarded 10 copies of a special DON!! card printed in gold.
Every tournament prize card mentioned will bear the logo of its respective tournament.
If these cards are ever to be released in English, it would most likely happen when similar tournaments are held in the West.
Once these cards hit the open market, expect retail prices to be relatively high owing to their exclusivity and prestige.
