Nike Shox R4 Revival Sparks Artistic Celebration at Photo Exhibition
Event-exclusive Nike Shox R4 advance sale includes unique T-shirt and poster gifts.
Nike is celebrating the re-release of the iconic Shox R4, a fan-favorite from 2001, with an exclusive photo exhibition in Tokyo. Dubbed the “NIKE SHOX PHOTO EXHIBITION,” this event marks the grand pre-release of the Shox R4 GR8 in “White” and “Black” colorways, tying in closely with the sneaker’s innovative design and the sophisticated fashion sense of GR8.
Scheduled for 8 to 10 March 2024, at COMPLEXBOOST, the exhibition showcases the collaborative efforts of GR8 owner Mitsuhiro Kubo and renowned photographer/videographer Koji Ueda.
Inspired by the “yin and yang” theme to complement the sneaker’s colorways, Ueda’s compelling visuals will adorn the venue’s walls, offering attendees a deep dive into the world of Nike Shox R4 through the lens of art and fashion.
Exclusive to event attendees, the featured Nike Shox R4 models will be available for advance purchase, with each sale accompanied by original merchandise. Buyers will be treated to a T-shirt and poster featuring Ueda’s newly taken photos, elevating the shopping experience to a collectible art form.
The Nike Shox R4 is celebrated for its fusion of synthetic and textile uppers, distinctive design lines, and laser-cut vents from the original 2001 model. With performance-driven Nike Shox cushioning, the sneaker promises comfort and style, retailing at US$180.
This three-day event commemorates the legacy of the Nike Shox R4 while bridging the gap between sneaker culture and artistic expression.
