A card which has seen a great many reprints over the years owing to its status as a firm fan favorite, the Dark Magician Girl (Alternate Artwork) card from the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG’s Quarter Century Chronicle side:Unity booster pack promises to be the most desired version in this card’s already storied history.

This particular Dark Magician Girl card is of particular value for several reasons. For one thing, it boasts the rarity of “Quarter Century Secret Rare”—one specifically issued to cards released to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG. This therefore means that only cards launched within a specific time window could possibly be granted this rarity.

Additionally, this is an Alternate Artwork card. The card with the usual artwork can exist in lower rarities such as Ultra Rare, Secret Rare, and Ultimate Rare. However, the Alternate Artwork version only exists in a Quarter Century Secret Rare form.

Finally, as a card depicting a highly popular character that was also at one point an event-exclusive card before hitting the open market, this card has a reputation of exclusivity and prestige.

It remains unclear if this card has an international release planned.

Current sale values show that a peak-condition version of the Dark Magician Girl (Alternate Artwork) (Quarter Century Chronicle side:Unity QCCU-JP002) card has a sale price of ¥108,000 (~US$719).
