Verdy, the creative brain behind labels Wasted Youth and Girls Don’t Cry, is having a full circle moment with American beer brand Budweiser. As fans of Wasted Youth would be familiar, the brand’s logo was heavily inspired by Budweiser’s retro 1999 logo that had a similar geometrical shape.
In this newly announced Wasted Youth x Budweiser collaboration, an apparel capsule made up of tees, soccer jerseys, shorts, hats and other accessories will be made available. Leading this collection are the jerseys, which feature Wasted Youth monograms alongside retro Budweiser sponsorship logos. A VKDW team patch is also laid onto the shirt, giving the piece an official look.
Besides the jersey, other notable pieces include co-branded tees, patterned shorts, totes, and buckets hats along with double-walled glasses (of course!). There is even a true-to-size Hariko papier-mâché beer can figure. The lookbook for this Wasted Youth x Budweiser collaboration was modelled by American skateboarder and rapper Na-Kel Smith.
Those residing in Japan will also notice that co-branded beer cans and bottles have already been hitting the shelves across supermarkets in the country. Lucky! For the rest of around the globe, this entire collection will launch via the Human Made website at 11am JST (10am SGT). For more campaign images and closer looks, keep scrolling.
