Following up on their first partnership in March, Off-White and Church’s have dropped their second collaborative shoe, dubbed the Consul Meteor. The shoe was designed by Virgil Abloh before his untimely passing last year.
As its name suggests, this leather shoe is a redesign of the English shoemaker’s classic Consul oxfords—so named because of its popularity with British politicians. The Meteor in its name refers to Virgil Abloh’s signature cut-out hole design that has previously been seen across Abloh’s sneakers and bags.
Besides the crater-inspired cut-out holes, this pair of Off-White x Church’s Consul Meteor also features a number of Abloh trademark touches, including a zip-tie tags (but now in Forest Green leather) and the text SHOELACES printed in quotation marks on the shoelaces.
The Consul Meteor is crafted from Church’s polished calfskin leather and features an interior leather lining. Both the insole and outsole are also co-branded with Off-White and Church’s logos.
In other sneaker-related news, Nike Air Force 1 Low has officially joined the “Panda” family.
