The Kasina x adidas Consortium Campus Pays Tribute to the Late Artist Kim Jung Gi
Turning the shoes into a canvas for some of his iconic artworks.
Earlier this year, Kasina and adidas Consortium paid tribute to the late Kim Jung Gi by way of the “Hazy Yellow” Campus. Before 2023 comes to a close, a new colorway will be released exclusively at ComplexCon 2023, 18–19 November.
The Kim Jung Gi x Kasina x adidas Campus will arrive in a two-toned palette. Black serves as the base layer with White introducing contrast through the Three Stripes on the quarter, tongue, heel tab, and laces.
The arrangement all serves to accentuate its most notable feature—Kim Jung Gi’s art. Placed on the heels of its profile, the graphics feature a girl on the lateral pulling on the tail of the tiger on the medial. All of which bears the distinct style of the artist.
The motif makes an appearance on the underside of the tongue as well in the form of co-branded imprints, with the design culminating on the insoles, showcasing a portion of Kim Jung Gi’s artwork.
Information is scant still but from what can be discerned from the images, there are only 50 pairs made, each one numbered. They’ll also be accompanied by various accoutrement such as a keychain and wristband. Once again, they’ll be released exclusively at this year’s ComplexCon.
In other news, the Stash x Nike Air Max 95 from 2006 rumored to be released again in 2024.
